New Reporting Requirements for Businesses
As a business owner, we would like to inform you about a regulatory change that may be applicable to you - the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), which introduces new reporting requirements for businesses effective January 1, 2024. The CTA mandates that most for-profit businesses qualified to do business in the United States must timely file a Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) Report with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). The deadline for initial BOI reporting is January 1, 2025 unless the business was created in 2024 in which case the deadline is 90 days after company’s creation date.
Self Filing is available via the FinCEN website which has resources and FAQs to assist.
